Market Development Grant (MDG) Guide
The Market Development Grant (MDG) by MATRADE is designed to support Malaysian exporters in expanding their businesses globally through reimbursable grant assistance. Applications are now accessible via the MADANI Digital Trade Platform (MDT).
What is MDG?
The MDG initiative helps Malaysian SMEs and eligible organizations reduce the cost of participating in international market development activities such as:
- International trade fairs & exhibitions
- Trade & investment missions
- International conferences overseas
- Overseas listing fees for Made-in-Malaysia products
The grant offers a lifetime claim limit of up to RM300,000 for eligible applicants.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible applicants include:

✔ Trade & industry associations
✔ Chambers of commerce
✔ Cooperatives

Apply Through MADANI Digital Trade Platform
Starting from March 2025, MDG applications are submitted through the MADANI Digital Trade Platform (MDT).

- Access the MDG application section via MATRADE MEMBER PORTAL
- Upload supporting documents
- Submit your application
- Track your application status digitally
